Pride Swing returns with Purple Pride Party
Following last year’s successful reunion, Pride Swing is back. On Saturday 3 October 2026, the party returns to De Orangerie in ’s-Hertogenbosch. With Pride Swing: Purple Pride Party, we kick off Purple Friday week in style.
Pride Swing made a comeback in 2025 after years away. To celebrate COC Noordoost-Brabant’s 50th anniversary, we revived the well-known dance parties of the 1990s and 2000s at De Orangerie. Around 750 visitors attended the reunion. Old friends met again while a new generation found its way to the dance floor.
The enthusiastic responses afterwards made it clear that many visitors wanted more. So on Saturday 3 October the doors of De Orangerie will open once again.
A purple edition
The new edition is the Pride Swing: Purple Pride Party and marks the start of the week leading up to Purple Friday on Friday 9 October.
On Purple Friday, pupils and students across the Netherlands wear purple to show support and solidarity with the LGBTI+ community. The day highlights the importance of a safe school environment where everyone can be themselves, without bullying or exclusion.
We are bringing that message to the dance floor. This year’s Pride Swing dress code is therefore: purple.
From 20:00 to 01:00, different generations will celebrate Pride Swing together at De Orangerie. And the party does not have to end there: the official afterparty takes place at De Keulse Kar, within walking distance of De Orangerie.
Ticket sales start on 14 August
